Bible Study: Stories of Jesus

By George Peavey

It’s easy to get caught up in all the work of serving, and sometimes to forget Whom we are serving.  Come take a little time to let the tasks go, and sit at the feet of Jesus, and encounter Him.

AI

by Dan Dennison

This is a hands-on workshop on how to build a retrieval augmented generation system for use with the LLM and data of one’s choice. This will be very introductory and the attendee will come out of the workshop with a VM hosting the software. Intended mostly as a familiarization exercise with the technologies, architecture and concepts.

Ansible

by Courtney Hicks

Learn the fundamentals of Ansible to provision and configure your servers. This workshop includes concepts such as managing server inventory, Collections and Roles to make reusable Tasks, such as deploying users, Playbooks to run tasks on your servers, and more.

Security

by Sean

Whether you’re a developer, sysadmin, or security engineer, understanding how to design and evaluate secure, resilient systems is a must. Privacy and security aren’t just in the news—governments, donors, and clients expect them. And if you want a good chance of weathering your next cybersecurity incident, you need to know how your system’s built in detail—including where it’s weak.

This workshop will teach you the basics of threat modeling so that you can better understand how to defend your systems, how to predict and mitigate problems, and how to design more secure software for tomorrow. We’ll include:

  • The basics of threat models, trust boundaries, and secure software development lifecycle
  • How to build simple but useful models of your systems using data flow diagrams
  • Frameworks for evaluating, categorizing, and mitigating likely threats and risks
  • How to use threat models to identify vulnerabilities using techniques from brainstorming to “STRIDE”
  • Fun and simple table-top exercises to develop mastery

Note: This is not the Cyber Defense Matrix-based “Building Cyber Programs” workshop from last year. This workshop will be more focused on modeling and analyzing “boxed” software and networked systems.
